Rock Paper Scissors Champion is a free indie game from Wholeton Games. As the title implies, this game features the popular game of rock paper scissors. Your goal is to defeat three opponents to reclaim your status as the champion.

Rock Paper Scissors Champion comes with simple mechanics. You face each of the three opponents to become the champion. However, do not expect random gameplay here. There is a storyline to follow. The whole game can be completed in less than half an hour because you can easily predict the opponent's moves to win.

What is Rock Paper Scissors Champion?

Rock Paper Scissors Champion is a game that turns the simple game of rock paper scissors into a serious sport. Here, you will take on the role of Rocky, who used to be the champion in the Rock Paper Scissors tournament. However, the Triple Gang members, Randy, Rocky, and Ripley, booted you out of the podium by cheating. Your goal is to get your former glory and reclaim your crown. 

The gameplay is simple, facing you off with one of the gang members on every level. The choices are shown on the screen, and you will only choose either rock, paper, or scissors.  Like in real-life, rock beats scissors, scissors beats paper, and paper beats rock. However, if you throw identical moves in a row, you can unleash a combo. With this, you can easily defeat your opponent. 

However, unlike the physical version of the game, your opponents’ moves are not random. If you manage to follow the pattern, you can predict their next move. This makes the experience a little boring and the run-time shorter.  It also decreases the game’s replay value. It also does not help that the graphics are rather horrendous. The intro song is fun, though.

Should you play it?

All in all, Rock Paper Scissors Champion is a game that is exactly what it says on the tin. The mechanics are simple and very familiar, with a few unique features. However, it is very easy to finish as you can easily predict your opponents’ attacks. Additionally, while it has an engaging intro song, the entire experience tends to be boring over time.
